sorry, sorry, sorry, i have NOT abandoned this blog. i just have been utterly overwhelmed by things like: an all-church youth group garage sale, a stomach bug that won't go away, and getting ready to leave on a ten-day trip with two small children. not to mention the travel itself, the littlest one getting sick (she's still a bit under the weather), and just being tired.
so:
ten things i like about going to my parents' house (while my sister and her husband are there):
1. being able to sleep in while someone else watches the babies.
2. being able to go to the bathroom by myself
3. ditto being able to actually sit down with a cup of coffee in my hand - to be able to sit IN A CHAIR, and not on the floor. often.
4. not having to cook dinner.
5. or clean up -dinner, or the house, or the yard.
6. or run errands.
7. watching my children fall in love all over again with my family, and watching my family dote on them.
8. the hot tub.
9. time to spend with my spouse - talking, reading, going out just the two of us
10. time to be relational with family and friends.
time to stretch a bit; rest a bit; be.
