you have to sing and do the hand motions while you read the title... :)
we (the three and i) spent the morning at the y we joined last week. i was amazed when i walked in that the childwatch area was FULL of kids. every time we'd been there before, there were five or ten kids and a couple of workers. today, FULL. one room (the toddler area) was at capacity. (and i don't know what capacity was, but it was a LOT.) so i was a little nervous about leaving my kids.
well, sunny and sailor did fine. they were together in the room with the huge playscape, and were happy to be there.
silver, since she's not walking yet, was in the room with the babies. it was a small room mostly full of swings and exersaucers, with a couple of toys. i know she didn't cry the whole time, but i don't think she was too happy.
but i only left them for about 25 minutes - long enough for me to go to the gym area and work up a sweat on the elliptical. then we all went out to the pool.
the pool was a rousing success. because of swim lessons, we had to stay in the "shallow" end - a three feet deep, largish area with sprinklers and a beach-grade entrance. there was also a splash pad. sailor was the only one not totally entranced... i think she wanted me to chase her around the deep end in her floatie (which i couldn't have done anyway, because of the baby).
so the jury is out a bit on whether or not this was a good investment. today, overall, we had fun... we'll be going back soon for more. :)
