this has been a difficult week in the croston household. the baby has been very sick - not sleeping at all at night, running high fevers, and then having a reaction to the first antibiotic she was prescribed. she had a nasty virus followed by yet another double ear infection. we have been very exhausted - i averaged about four or five hours of sleep the first few nights of the week.

but now we have a new antibiotic, and silver seems to be recovering. tonight she ate a little supper (she hasn't had any appetite at all to speak of; at least she has been nursing, so i wasn't too worried about that) and then crawled around, getting into mischief and grinning her huge gap-toothed grin at us - almost back to normal.

of course, just as she's getting better, sunny came home from school today with a fever. it's probably the same virus - but hopefully he won't get it as severely (being so much older and stronger ;).

and in spite of all of this, it really hasn't been too awful... aside from being tired, and feeling so bad for the sweet baby, things have run relatively smoothly. jon has had three night games (plus one night of youth group), but he has managed to get home before 10 most nights. and tomorrow we are all going to stay home and rest and recover, so we can spend some time as a family.
