anyway, i am so thankful to have this done. i hope it makes a difference in her little life - that she will hear better, have less pain, and be on fewer antibiotics. if it helps any of those things even a little bit, it will be well worth it!

the tubes are in!
silver and i got up in the cold (very cold) dark this morning and drove to oakwood surgery center, where a nice ent placed tubes in her ears. overall, it wasn't too stressful; not to say that i was utterly calm throughout, but i think i dealt with handing her over to the nurse and waiting (it was only for 30 minutes) in the operating room rather well, all things considered! and silver was a trooper, too - she didn't cry at all until she woke up in the recovery room and i wasn't there. they came and got me quickly, and i was able to take her home right away - even with a stop at the pharmacy, we were home by 9:30! (this also attests to the fact that we had to leave home at around 6!)

Oh! I hope it makes life easier for her (and you!) too.
I'm behind on your blog--didn't even realize she had to get tubes! Hope she's doing well now. :)
