thanksgivings

tonight, as i lie in bed listening to the familiar sound of the washing machine running (it sits on the other side of my bedroom wall. oh joy.), i am thankful for:

-urgent care open on sundays, so i can go to the doctor while jon watches the kids

-amoxicillin for sinus infections

-no one sick in my family except for me!

-valuable time sitting at starbucks doing work on my wonderful netbook while waiting for urgent care to call and let me know i was next in line. (this service is even more wonderful considering it was a TWO HOUR wait!)

-sailor wanting to play with me all evening. we played "family," a new game she made up where she is the mom and i am the "big girl" (ie daughter). i think she likes this game because she gets to call me "honey," tell me what to do, and wear whatever shoes she likes out of my closet. right now she prefers the red leather heels. (thanks, karen ;)

(and then she wanted to play dollhouse while we were playing "family." and i got to play the mom. so then i was the mom playing the daughter playing the mom. you gotta love this girl.)
