for the last several years we have made a sweet little tradition for our kids on new years eve. we make "clock cookies" - round sugar cookies frosted and decorated to look like clocks pointing to midnight. then we drink some kind of fizzy drink out of very fancy glasses, and watch the new year's eve episode of "max and ruby" - where they make clock cookies and drink fancy fizzy drinks.
then we all go to bed at the normal time.
i have to say, it makes for a fun and relaxing new years. the kids love it, and i don't have to stay up til midnight.
i must be getting old. :)
