nap time

"i'm having a nice time, mommy," sunny calls out to me as i walk by the playroom. i am busy gathering supplies for tomorrow (sunday), silver is sleeping, sailor is looking at books in her bed, and sunny is...

resting. these days, though, he rests on the windowseat in the playroom. he has his blanket and pillow, and from that comfy vantage point he can watch the comings and goings of our neighbors. he also has all of his animal books in a stack, some star wars legos, a small bowl of goldfish, a water bottle, and the itouch - so he can listen to some of his favorite books, the magic treehouse series, that we downloaded from itunes for him.

nap time, for him, while he doesn't really ever sleep, has become sweet and serene downtime from his usual high energy level. good for him.

and good for me. :)
