i can't believe it's saturday. i mean i REALLY can't believe it. spring break always seems like such a wonderful long time to get everything done - especially when it's only a week away. but honestly, one week with two parents and three young children is NOT optimal time to accomplish a huge list of projects, let alone the regular daily grind of laundry, dishes, and grading large piles of precalculus papers.

that said, we also made sure we took lots of time this week to play with our kids. we took them to the rodeo, to the science center, and to ride marianne's horses. they had lunch at mcdonald's, playdates with friends, and even spent time at chuck-e-cheese - with just dad (he's far braver than i am :).

i think the children had a terrific time. but jon and i could use a vacation from our vacation.
