third surprise

is three times the charm?
because i was getting so worried about the baby. her face would seem to almost clear up, and then another outbreak would happen. so i took her back in to the doctor on friday.
guess what?
NOT CHICKEN POX.
um.
i don't really know how i feel about that.
because there has been so much fanfare and hassle over the last 10 days. like not being able to take my kids to their classes at school. and not being able to run to HEB for more diapers. and staying far, far away from everyone.
i almost wish it HAD been chicken pox, and now we were over and done.

what IS it? you ask.
well, they just don't really know. "probably some other virus," was the general conclusion. (i had several people in the room looking at her.) "or maybe a really weird reaction to a bug bite."

when will it clear up?
"well, most viruses generally run their course by 14 days. and she's probably not contagious, but if you take her places people will think she has chicken pox ."
