sailor says "i." "i cookie, mama." "i book." "i juice." "i up." "i all done." sometimes, "i bubba." or, "i dada." it's pretty good pronoun usage for a one-year-old, if it is a little self-centered and demanding.
today it was, "i dress."
i know that we've officially entered the toddler era: my little girl has discovered dress up. i made a dress-up area in her room for her today, and she found the princess dress she wore for halloween this year. then she proceeded to wear it the entire rest of the day, including while she ate pancakes (with syrup) for supper, colored all over herself with markers and paint, and put treasures in and out of a little sparkly purse.
the dress is now in the wash. ("MAMA! I DRESS!" "sailor, it's time for bath.")
