back to beginnings

wow, i'm tired today. i must have gotten used to all of the extra hands over vacation, and now am struggling to find my momentum again on my own. plus we had a very busy morning, with library story time (i HAD to return books and pay a huge fine - accrued while we were in tucson with, unfortunately, some borrowed DVD's) and a trip to HEB. by the end, sailor was completely done. hungy, tired, and ready to go home.
well, so was i. :)
things i was thankful for this morning:
-a house (almost) entirely back to normal from the holidays. you can see the floor in most rooms. most of the floor. in most of the rooms. :)
-sailor making it through an entire story time, and actually seeming to enjoy it. of course, ms. jane sang all of her favorite songs, and gave her a snowman stamp at the end.
-sunny being old enough to help unload the cart at HEB. while sailor was screaming in the seat.
-sunny also being old enough to bypass the GIANT speed racer cars at the end of the aisle without throwing his own little tantrum. hooray, for three-and-a-half. (come on, HEB. we just finished christmas. give us a little break. )
-sunny (wow, he gets lots of credit today) telling me, as he called me in just now: mommy, you'd better go to sleep quick! nap time is almost over!
-all of the rest of my frozen thanksgiving turkey into the crockpot for yummy soup by tonight.
