sorry i haven't posted in a few days... we've had constant visitors for a couple of weeks, coupled with not feeling well and starting work this week... all combined to make it hard to find to time to write. but it has been a really good week so far, so...
things i like about my job at ccps:
-this is my fifth year there, so everything is familiar. i know where everything is, how all of the procedures work, where to find velcro tape in the resource room, and even how to repair the copy machine. it's great to be in the know.
-i know most of the women who work there, and have known them for several years. they know my kiddos by name, and give them hugs and sweet greetings. some of them remember back when i was pregnant with sunny. conversely, i know their families, and can ask about many of their husbands and children by name. it feels like a big community, and i love that.
-i love kerry, my lead teacher. she does all of the hard work, plus she's got a terrific sense of humor. and a great south african accent. (also, i've really enjoyed being an assistant these last couple of years. it's low on responsibility and stress.)
-the building is beautiful, the playground is big and shady, and there is a whole room full of toys and art supplies.
-i have full confidence that every teacher there loves her job and loves her kids. we all use developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum, so you walk by classrooms where kids are fingerpainting, making pancakes, or predicting the outcome of an experiment... building cities with blocks, reading books, singing songs, and generally having a great time being kids.
-my own kids really enjoy going there. it gets us all out of the house and around other people our own ages. :)
- i can be there with them.
i have felt really blessed this week to be back.

Wow, that makes me want to send Ana there! :) I'm glad they have you.
Oh, sorry, this is Beth, not Jason. Jason's signed into gmail right now.
it's a great place. :) if you ever want to send ana to preschool, we'll talk. (it's a bit of a drive, though. and i know of other good places closer.)
i was a little confused about jason reading my blog. ;)
